59. IRISH COFFEE TOPPED WITH WHIPPED CREAM

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups heavy or whipping cream
  • 7 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cups Irish whiskey
  • 6 cups rich, hot brewed coffee
  • Grated nutmeg or ground cinnamon for garnish
Procedure:
  1. Beat the cream with 3 tablespoons of sugar in a large bowl until soft peaks form. Refrigerate the whipped cream, covered, until ready to serve.
  2. Warm 8 glasses by filling each with hot water, leaving for at least 1 minute and then draining. Immediately put 2 tablespoons of whisky into each glass.
  3. Dissolve the remaining 4 tablespoons of sugar in the coffee. Pour the coffee into each glass, leaving about 1/4-inch space from the top.
  4. Holding a large spoon upside down over the glass, slowly pour the whipped cream onto the spoon so it slides into the glass and floats on top of the coffee.
  5. Sprinkle the coffee with nutmeg or cinnamon and serve immediately.

51. STAR ANISE TEA

Star anise was now used as a tea as a traditional remedy for rheumatism and the seeds are chewed after meals to aid digestions. Please try this recipe ;)

THAI TEA

Ingredients

1 star anise
1 tsp orange blossom water
1 vanilla bean
Pinch each of ground clove and ground cinnamon
1/2 cup Chinese black tea leaves
1 cup sugar
Few drops red food coloring (optional)
Half-and-half or sweetened condensed milk

Directions

Bring 1/2 gallon of cold water to a boil in a saucepan. Add star anise, orange blossom water, vanilla bean, clove, cinnamon, and black tea. Boil for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and food coloring (optional, but traditional). Cover, and steep until the tea is tepid. Fill tall glasses at least halfway with crushed ice. Strain the tea and pour over the ice. Top each glass with half-and-half or sweetened condensed milk.

48. STRAWBERRY COOLERS

Try this strawberry coolers :D perfect for this summer ;)
INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 cups chilled orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups hulled strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar, or to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups chilled ginger ale
PROCEDURE:
  1. Combine orange juice, strawberries and sugar in a blender; blend until the berries are pureed.
  2. Place the berry puree in a large pitcher. Add ginger ale; stir to combine. Serve over ice.

12. PINEAPPLE SHAKE

It's summer time once again. And since it's the warmest of the temperate seasons, why not try this simple pineapple shake recipe?
Ingredients
 1 whole fresh pineapple
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
12 cup sugar
2 cups cold water
2 cups ice (crushed)Procedure
1. Cut pineapple from rind, core, and cut into chunks.
2. Put all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth.
3. Pour and serve.
